What do cider and ginger beer have in common you ask? Well nothing really, except that they are both great tasting refreshing beverages, and now they are both being made right here at Spreyton Cider Co. HQ!
Based on a recipe used by Walter Langworthy, my great great grandfather, who was a well known Tasmanian Sailing Master and then Hobart town publican the SCC team has developed a fantastic Ginger beer that at 3.5% ABV is a great “light” alternative to our cider range. We first trialled this brew over the summer with a non alcoholic version that was extremely well received, especially after we added a touch of good Tasmanian Vodka so we’ve gone the whole hog and produced our alcoholic version.
We currently have this great new product on tap at our tasting rooms and will have it in bottles for takeaway sales by the time Summer arrives!
So if you are looking to try something new and you are in the area, drop ion and try our new Ginger Beer.
Now whether it is cider, juice, vinegar or Ginger Beer you can “make it a Spreyton!”
